i first dyed my hair blue in the summer of 1997, and have been doing so ever since. in that time i've used various brands. this section of this site is intended to provide opinions on the various brands, as well as information on how to obtain dyes, what colours are available, how it's done, hair care and problems.

• special effects
  this the brand i currently use. i've only been able to find suppliers in the usa; more details to come [gawd i hate saying that, it's as bad as "under construction"].
• la riché hairdye
  i used this brand over three years. it's probably the best of the brands available in the uk.
• stargazer
  one of my first brands, stargazer is probably the most widely available and used in the uk.
• my first brand
  i can't even remember the name of this brand, but i do remember it was utterly inadequate. this part will make more sense when i work out what the brand was. ^_^
