'sing it with the trees' by the auroran sunset

return to my poetry's home.

this is the result of a song writing session with samuel west, for our band: kan. music by him, words by me, arrangement by both of us.

it's a slow funky number with a very catchy and shouty chorus. lots of fun. :-)

sing it with the trees

time was that i was sad,
time was that i was blue.
i see you lying there,
time was that i didn't know you.

chorus: life was so drear
and you came upon me.
you shook me up
and now i sing it with the trees.
yeah sing it with the trees. (this line times four)

i hate to say that i'm happy,
but you know that i am.
i hate to say that this suits me,
but you know that it does.
