this is the result of a song writing session with samuel west, for our band: kan. music by him, words by me, arrangement by both of us.

it's a very pretty, slow upbeat hippyish tune.. it really needs the music with it, but this will have to do for now.

happiness here is a state of mind

walking down a street on a holiday,
looking at the sun: it's come to play.
all the people are smiling there,
and your humdrum life seems so far away.

chorus: happiness here is a state of mind.
come inside and see what you can find.

life is good when you're free,
come and take a walk down this road with me.
the troubles of the world you can leave behind:
take a break so you can clear your mind.

listen to the rhythm of the sky and trees,
watch the leaves in a gentle breeze.
coming around the world again,
you'll pass those troubles with such easy.
