this site was spawned from the warped imagination of a certain 'fennel aurora' aka 'the auroran sunset'. the basic idea is to have a load of pages with top 13 lists and short explanations... then at some point flesh out the explanations where it seems necessary or jolly jape.

the meme of top 13 lists is a idea which has gained much in the adaptation from the top 10 lists of yesteryear... as everybody knows, whenever you try to make a top 10 list, there are always a few items spare, which you really wish you could put in... well now you can... 13 is also a far better number than 10... apparently in america the 13 floor is ignored because it's far too important to have the hoi ploloi traipsing around on it... also 42 is the answer to life the universe and everything; "what is nine times six?" is the question; this only works when you convert the answer done in base 10 to base 13... there is one more thing about 13... it looks good... can you imagine how ugly the home page would be with a 10?... see, that just proves it... some others seems to have an idea that 37 is the number of the gods.. i'll admit that there is some evidence, but compared the evidence for 13 it seems petty.
and now on with the show.....

this site was developed in netscape 4.5, and is best viewed in that browser (frankly any other browser is just inferior)... it is by far the best browser available at the moment. so if you don't have it already, why not download it for free straight from netscape?
